Academy Term 1 League
The Academy Premier League (APL) is an exciting new competitive football league launching in Term 1, 2026.
Designed exclusively for independent football academies across Auckland and the surrounding regions. APL offers a structured, high-quality competition during the off-season when traditional club football is on break.
Trial are at William Green in mid January 2026
- 10/11th Grade 5.30pm-6.30pm
- 11/12th Grade 6.30pm-7.30pm
- 13th Grade 7.00pm-8.00pm
Competition (South) venue-
Matches will be held weekly at Macleans College Turf ever Sunday morning beginning first week back of term 1.
Competition Dates
• Round 1 - 15th Feb
• Round 2 - 22nd Feb
• Round 3 - 1st March
• Round 4 - 8th March
• Round 5 -15th March
• Round 6 - 22nd March Final league Match
• Round 7 - 29th March Cup Finals Day
All teams come together from the South/East location and the North location for a centralised event - venue TBC
Age Groups & Formats
• U9 (Born 2017) - 7v7
• U10 (Born 2016) - 7v7
• U11 (Born 2015) - 9v9
• U12 (Born 2014) - 9v9
• U13 (Born 2013) - 9v9
Maximum 11 for U9/10s players and 13 for U11-13s players per squad.
Match Times
Games will be scheduled on Sundays between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM . Exact kick-off times will be communicated once the fixtures are released.
Match Duration
• U9 & U10 - 2 x 20-minute halves (5-minute halftime)
• U11 to U13 - 2 x 25-minute halves (5-minute halftime)
Entry Fees & What’s Included
• Player fees: $215 (for selected players)- price will be reduced for anyone with a playing kit.
• Included: EAF playing kit (valued at over $100), 2 pre league training sessions, 1 league game per week with referees, and the chance to win medals & individual awards.
• Food & coffee trucks available at each venue

Clash Winner (Top team North-West vs Top team South-East)

⭐ MVP Player of the League (referees assign weekly MVP points to determine season MVP)
